About Damir
Damir Selimovic is a partner at McCarter Grespan focusing on commercial real estate for developers, investors, and business owners in Waterloo Region. His work covers purchase and sale transactions, financing and refinancing, commercial leasing, and land development projects. He has a particular interest in real estate related tax issues such as land transfer tax and HST, and helps structure deals with clients and their advisors. Damir is known for coordinating multiple stakeholders on complex, multi-party transactions and finding practical solutions when problems arise. He joined the firm in 2016 and was called to the bar that same year. Damir holds a J.D. from the University of Windsor (2015) and a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Legal Studies with a Sociology minor from the University of Waterloo (2012).
