About Paul Steacy

Paul Steacy helps business owners with the deals that shape a company, from getting it off the ground to buying or selling one, raising financing and restructuring. As a partner at Cohen Highley LLP in London, Paul also drafts and reviews contracts, puts shareholder and partnership agreements in place, and works through disputes. Real estate and estate work round out the practice.

Law was Paul's second career. Paul earned a B.A. from Western University in 1967, concentrating in computer science and making the Dean's Honour Roll. Then came several years in the computer industry, at IBM among other companies. Paul then went back to school, earned an LL.B. at Western in 1978 and was called to the bar in 1980. Every year of practice since has been in London. In early 2001 Paul came over to Cohen Highley's corporate/commercial, real estate and estate team together with Brian Phillips, Paul's law partner of more than 20 years.

Paul has spent most of a lifetime in and around London, is married with three children, and takes an active part in several local not-for-profit organizations. Outside the office there's dog agility: Paul competes in the sport and teaches it at Cruisin' Paws Agility in London, with more than 30 years of agility training experience.
