About Mavdeep

Mavdeep Mangat is an associate practising insurance defence, representing insurers and insureds in director and officer liability, bodily injury, product liability, civil assault, property damage and subrogated claims, as well as commercial and construction litigation. He takes an even-keeled, big-picture approach to resolving matters through negotiation, mediation or trial, and also assists with estate planning, wills, personal directives, powers of attorney and commercial lease reviews. Born and raised in Calgary, Mavdeep was called to the Alberta bar in 2020 and the British Columbia bar in 2021. He holds a JD from Michigan State University College of Law and a BA from the University of Calgary, and is fluent in Punjabi with conversational Hindi.
