About Matthew
Matthew Samuels joined Beard Winter's insurance litigation group in 2022 after articling at a Toronto insurance defence boutique that served several major Canadian insurers. His practice covers a range of insurance disputes, including personal injury, occupiers' liability, product liability, and property damage claims. Matthew completed his LL.B. at the University of York before earning an LL.M. from Osgoode Hall Law School. During law school he took part in negotiation competitions, helped found careerinlaw.net and a climate justice chapter, and played on the school's soccer team. He also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Western University. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2022.
