About Matthew
Matthew McGuigan is an associate in the firm's Business and Transactions Group, advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, debt financing, private capital markets, and shareholder, partnership, and joint venture arrangements across Canadian, cross-border, and international matters. He also works on secured lending transactions, corporate reorganizations, and the employment aspects of M&A deals. Matthew completed dual Juris Doctor and Honours Business Administration degrees through Western University's Faculty of Law and Ivey Business School, giving him a business-minded approach to reading financial statements and negotiating on his clients' behalf. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2024.
