Matthew Merkley is a partner and co-head of the Corporate Governance practice in Toronto. He represents clients in capital markets transactions and securities regulatory matters, including initial public offerings and other public offerings of equity and debt. Merkley advises public issuers and their boards on governance, compensation, disclosure, dual-class share structures, and succession matters, and is a member of the Ontario Securities Commission Securities Advisory Committee.
