About Matthew
Matthew A. Fisher joined Lecker & Associates in 2008 and became a partner in 2016. His practice covers wrongful and constructive dismissal, job layoffs, severance package negotiations, and workplace conflict resolution. He has appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and the Ontario Labour Relations Board. He represented the plaintiff in Felice v. Cardinal Health Canada (2014), which set a new standard for notice periods for short-service executives, and was co-counsel in the Court of Appeal case Keenan v. Canac Kitchens (2016), which secured 26 months' notice for workers wrongfully classified as independent contractors. He has been ranked a 'Repeatedly Recommended' employment lawyer by Lexpert from 2022 to 2026.
