About Mark

Mark Koochin has practiced at Porter Ramsay for more than two decades, advising clients in family law, personal injury, estate litigation, labour and employment, and general civil and commercial litigation. He earned a BA in Criminology from Simon Fraser University in 1989 and an LLB from the University of British Columbia in 1993, then articled with Fraser & Beatty in Vancouver. He joined Porter Ramsay in 1994 and became a partner in 1998. Before law, he worked as an investigator with the BC Ombudsman's Office, which shaped his practical approach to advocacy. Mark is active with the Canadian Bar Association, the Kelowna Bar Association, and the BC Trial Lawyers Association, and has appeared as counsel at all levels of court in British Columbia. He has also volunteered with the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club Sunrise, the Kelowna and District Boys and Girls Club, and pro bono clinics with the Legal Services Society and the Salvation Army.
