About Faraaz

Faraaz Akhtar is an associate lawyer at Porter Ramsay, focusing on family law and general litigation, with numerous appearances in British Columbia's Provincial and Supreme Courts. Born in Montreal and raised in Saskatoon, he received a Bachelor of Commerce in 2013 and a Juris Doctor in 2018, both from the University of Saskatchewan. Before and during his studies he worked as a marketing analyst and educator in Peru and Canada, and volunteered with Community Legal Services in Saskatoon. He joined Porter Ramsay as an articled student and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2022.
