About Marissa

Marissa Etwaroo practises criminal defence as an associate lawyer at Goodman & Berman Barristers. Her caseload has included homicide, sexual assault, impaired driving, drug offences, and firearms charges at both the trial and appellate level, spanning provincial and federal matters. She built hands-on litigation experience during her articles at a Toronto criminal law firm and represented clients as a caseworker at CLASP, appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice. Marissa holds a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School and an Honours BA from McMaster University, and she was called to the bar after completing her articles in Toronto.
