About Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn is an associate with Smith Litkowski, defending youth and adults facing criminal charges, with trial experience in both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice. She studied criminal justice and public policy at the University of Guelph before earning her J.D. at the University of Ottawa, where she worked in family and child protection law before finding her focus in the Criminal Community Legal Clinic. She articled at a large Toronto criminal defence firm and stayed on as an associate. Her practice has grown to include Charter applications, domestic violence cases, drug-related charges, and murder cases. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2020 and belongs to the Criminal Lawyers Association.
