About Nicholas
Nicholas Charitsis is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School. He also holds a business degree from York University's Schulich School, earned with distinction. Since 2004 he has built a large criminal defence practice, appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Ontario Court of Appeal. He began his career as an Assistant Crown Attorney at several Toronto courthouses and has since defended thousands of contested trials involving dangerous driving, failure to provide a breath sample, sexual interference, and assault charges. He frequently offers media commentary on criminal law issues, from impaired driving and sexual assault to domestic assault, and was appointed by Ontario's Attorney General to chair the Justices of the Peace Appointments Advisory Committee, which oversees the selection of judicial officers.
