About Marcus
Marcus Klee is managing partner at Aitken Klee, where he handles complex intellectual property litigation spanning pharmaceuticals, medical devices, webcasting, finance, environmental remediation, aviation, and infrastructure. He holds a Ph.D. from Queen's University and a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, and he was called to the Ontario bar in 2002 after clerking for several justices at the Court of Appeal for Ontario. Marcus has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, the Ontario Divisional Court and Superior Court, the Copyright Board, and various arbitration tribunals. His work includes representing L. Gore & Associates in a patent dispute over artificial arteries and acting for Pharmascience and Teva Canada in numerous pharmaceutical patent cases. He successfully represented Teva before the Supreme Court of Canada in overturning lower court rulings and defeating Pfizer's Viagra patent, and he secured a $105 million damages award for Teva in a separate case.
