About Bryan
Bryan Norrie is a partner at Aitken Klee who focuses on litigating Canadian patents, with particular emphasis on pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. He has served as lead trial and appellate counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants, securing judgments that upheld and invalidated patents, and has litigated cases involving the quantification of damages in the pharmaceutical industry. He led the team behind Managing IP's 2023 Impact Case of the Year in Canada, arising from his work for Teva Canada on the COPAXONE patent. Bryan holds a combined Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University from 2006, a master's in Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering, and a bachelor's in Physiology, both from the University of Alberta. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2007 and is a registered Canadian patent agent.
