About Aleem

Aleem Abdulla is counsel at Aitken Klee, where he focuses on complex intellectual property litigation. He has particular experience representing pharmaceutical clients in proceedings under the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations, including section 8 damages actions, and has appeared before the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal. Before joining Aitken Klee, he articled at a national law firm in Ottawa in its intellectual property and corporate groups, and during law school he represented clients before the Landlord and Tenant Board and the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board. His case work includes matters for Pharmascience, Teva Canada, and W.L. Gore & Associates. Aleem earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto in 2013 and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Science and Business from the University of Waterloo in 2008.
