About Luba

Luba Yamoah has practiced family law almost exclusively since joining Pavey Law in 2010 and now heads the firm's Family Law group. She helps clients with child and spousal support, parenting arrangements, property division, and equalization claims, and she frequently represents business owners and professionals in family law disputes. Luba also assists with negotiating and preparing marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements, wills, and powers of attorney. She has extensive experience in negotiation, mediation, and Collaborative Family Law, and she has argued cases at both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Family Branch of the Superior Court of Justice. Born in Bratislava, Slovakia, Luba immigrated to Canada as a child and speaks Slovak fluently, allowing her to work directly with Slovak- and Czech-speaking clients. She earned her law degree from the University of Windsor in 2008 and was called to the Ontario bar in 2009.
