Civil Litigation & Dispute ResolutionEmily is a civil litigator at Matlow Miller Cummins Thrasher. Originally from Truro, Nova Scotia, and raised in the Waterloo Region, she spent several years living and working in Ottawa before returning to the area where she grew up. Before entering private practice she spent seven years in the federal public service in the National Capital Region, which gave her a grounding in policy and governance that continues to inform her advocacy today. She holds a BA in Criminology from Carleton University and a JD from the University of Toronto, and articled both with the federal government and with the firm. Her practice covers construction litigation, employment law, family law, general litigation and dispute resolution, and personal injury.
