About Galia
Galia handles both family law and criminal law files at Gelman & Associates, and she is known for taking a firm approach in the courtroom when it counts. She studied philosophy and classical studies as an honours double major at Western before crossing the Atlantic for law school. She completed her LL.B. (Hons) at the University of Birmingham in the UK, finishing in the top 20 percent of her class. Galia has received professional training on issues of narcissism and narcissistic abuse, which informs how she supports clients going through difficult family situations. Colleagues describe her as empathetic, with a strong ability to grasp what clients are experiencing and translate that into an effective legal strategy. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
