Loans, security and closings

Pavey Law's litigation work includes fraudulent conveyance actions, professional negligence, and appearances before administrative tribunals. Meagan Swan has acted for clients at the Superior Court, the Divisional Court, the Court of Appeal and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. At a previous practice, Ahmed Elahi served as preferred counsel to the Lawyers' Professional Indemnity Company on professional liability matters.

The real estate group acts for everyone from people buying a first home to builders, developers and commercial landlords. Its work includes cottages and severances, and it takes on development work too.

Luba Yamoah often represents business owners and professionals, and has argued matters at the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice, Family Branch included. The family group's services also cover restraining orders and resolving disputes through mediation or arbitration.

Pavey Law combines its corporate, real estate and estates experience to help business owners protect their interests and keep probate fees down, and it assists with succession planning for owners. When an estate is contested, it litigates claims for constructive and resulting trusts, and it also handles guardianship applications.
