About Melanie

Melanie Ouanounou is a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group at Goodmans. Her practice is varied, covering general commercial litigation, defence of class actions, electricity law, and estate litigation. Much of her commercial and class action defence work centers on securities matters, contract disputes, product liability, and plans of arrangement, for clients in sectors ranging from health care and mining to oil and gas, energy, real estate, technology, and entertainment. Melanie has tried cases and argued appeals at every level of court in Ontario as well as before the Supreme Court of Canada, and has taken part in matters before the Ontario Securities Commission and courts in other provinces. She has been named a Litigation Star by Benchmark Litigation Canada and a Next Generation Partner by The Legal 500 Canada.
