Leith completed his law and journalism degrees at Griffith University in Australia and began his legal career in Winnipeg in 2011 after obtaining a Certificate of Qualification through the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. He was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2012, receiving the A. Montague Israels Prize.
