About Leilani

Leilani is a partner in TDS's Business Law Group (Tax) in Winnipeg. Her practice covers corporate transactions and income and commodity taxation, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, owner-manager taxation, corporate reorganizations, private equity investments, and partnerships and joint ventures. She also advises health care professionals on incorporations and practice transitions, and works on business succession planning, estate planning, and compliance for charities and non-profits. Leilani earned her LL.B. and B.A. in Economics from the University of Manitoba, was called to the Manitoba bar in 1999, and received a King's Counsel (previously Queen's Counsel) designation from the Manitoba government in 2022. She is a sessional lecturer at Robson Hall and has spoken on tax matters for organizations including the Canadian Tax Foundation.
