About Courtney

Courtney Pope practices in corporate/commercial and taxation law, advising clients on corporate tax planning, personal tax planning, business structuring, and the sale and purchase of businesses. Her work includes corporate reorganizations, distribution planning, the use of family trusts, succession planning, and inter-generational transfers of businesses. She also advises on personal estate planning and administration, including drafting testamentary documents, and on shareholder disputes and dispute resolution with the Canada Revenue Agency. Courtney was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2011 and earned her J.D. from the University of Manitoba in 2010. She has co-authored publications on tax planning for intergenerational transfers and presented at the Canadian Tax Foundation's Prairie Provinces Tax Conference.
