About Leah
Leah Mack has practiced almost exclusively for Indigenous clients since her call to the bar in 2007, concentrating on governance and legislative drafting. Much of her work supports First Nations operating under Land Codes, including drafting and implementing land laws covering land use, environmental protection and regulatory enforcement. She advises Nations through every stage of Land Code implementation, from initial scoping through enactment and operationalization, taking a practical, collaborative approach that keeps laws clear and aligned with each Nation's values. Born and raised in Victoria, British Columbia, Leah is a member of the Toquaht Nation on Vancouver Island's west coast. She obtained her LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2006 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2007 and the Manitoba Bar in 2024.
