About Lauren

Lauren Tyrell is an Associate at JSS Barristers with a broad civil litigation practice spanning contractual and construction disputes, corporate and commercial litigation, class actions, securities and shareholder matters, and insolvency proceedings. She has represented clients before administrative tribunals, the Alberta Securities Commission, the Alberta Court of Justice, and the Alberta Court of King's Bench. Lauren earned her Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University in 2024, receiving the Dean's Course Prize in both Class Actions and Trusts and the Guild Yule LLP Advocacy Prize for Advanced Advocacy. She previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminology and a Diploma in Critical Security Studies from the University of Western Ontario. Originally from Ontario, she volunteers as a foster with animal rescue organizations and was called to the Alberta bar in 2025.
