About Ava
Ava Danyluk joined JSS Barristers in 2025 after operating her own practice in Airdrie, Alberta. She has represented clients at all levels of court in Alberta, including the Court of Appeal, and before the Federal Court of Canada, with extensive experience in mediation and arbitration. As provincial counsel to the Canadian Medical Protective Association, she draws on her background in health sciences to advise physicians in professional negligence and regulatory matters, alongside a civil litigation practice focused on oil and gas disputes and defamation. Ava completed her Juris Doctor and Master of Public Policy concurrently at the University of Calgary, where she received the Grant McKibben Prize and the Frances Elizabeth Turner Memorial Award, after earlier studying Health Sciences and working as a medical researcher in Indigenous health. She volunteers with Pro Bono Law Alberta, assisting self-represented parties in court.
