About Laura
Laura Venasse is a partner at LaBarge Weinstein LLP, advising startups, growth-stage companies, investors, and acquirers on corporate, financing, and M&A transactions across Canada and internationally. She joined the firm as an associate in 2016 after completing her articles there, and was named partner in 2022. Laura takes a practical, collaborative approach to guiding clients through complex, fast-moving deals, and she also mentors early-stage founders on legal and business questions. She lectures periodically at the University of Ottawa on corporate law subjects. Laura holds a JD from the University of Ottawa, an MBA from the Telfer School of Management, and a B.Com from the University of Toronto, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2016.
