About Chinyere
Chinyere Okafor is a lawyer in LaBarge Weinstein LLP's Toronto office with extensive experience in startup, venture capital and private equity work. She has provided hands-on legal counsel to small businesses, startups and their investors, and previously advised local and international clients at a top-tier commercial law firm on private equity, venture finance and infrastructure transactions. She also served as Head of Legal at a venture capital firm, leading its legal, compliance and risk management functions. Chinyere earned her LL.B. from Abia State University in Nigeria and qualified as a barrister and solicitor there before completing Canada's Common Law Qualification and being called to the Law Society of Ontario in 2023. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional for Canada and volunteers as a mentor at a startup accelerator supporting diverse founders.
