About Lara

Lara Fitzgerald-Husek is a partner at Oatley Vigmond whose practice is devoted entirely to personal injury law. She draws on empathy, resourcefulness, and trial experience to connect with clients and guide them forward after a traumatic injury. Lara completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto and then earned both a Juris Doctor and an MPA at Queen's University before being called to the bar in 2013. She joined Oatley Vigmond after practising insurance defence at a national firm, work that gave her insight into how insurers evaluate personal injury claims. Her work today centers on injury claims arising from motor vehicle collisions and covers accident benefits disputes, medical malpractice, occupier's liability, product liability matters, and long-term disability cases. Outside of work, Lara is pursuing a culinary degree at George Brown College and enjoys hiking with her dog.
