John Alexander has appeared more than 50 times in the British Columbia Court of Appeal and has extensive experience in land use law, local government litigation, survey issues, and complex land title disputes. He now serves as associate counsel at Cox Taylor, supporting the firm's lawyers on land litigation and administrative law matters, though he is no longer accepting new clients directly. He has practised at Cox Taylor since his call to the bar in 1983, holding a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Marine Biology from the University of Victoria (1977) and a law degree from the University of British Columbia (1982). He is a past president of the Victoria City Rowing Club and has served on numerous amateur sport boards in B.C.
