About Roy
For more than 40 years Roy Macgillivray has been a trial lawyer in Thunder Bay, beginning his career as a criminal lawyer before concentrating on personal injury and insurance law for the last 30-plus years. He has represented both accident victims and insurers at all levels of court in Ontario, and his practice now focuses on seriously injured victims of motor vehicle and trip-and-fall accidents. He believes a local lawyer who knows the area's insurance adjusters and healthcare providers is best positioned to get results, and that injured clients need direct personal access to their lawyer. He has been involved with several conservation organizations, including Ducks Unlimited and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1976 after earning his LL.B. from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Arts from Queen's University.
