About Kelly

Kelly Fortune practises employment law, representing both employees and employers, along with civil litigation, corporate commercial law, real estate law, and wills and estates at Coast Mountain Law. Fortune was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2023 after articling at the firm's predecessor, Race & Company, and holds a J.D. from Thompson Rivers University (2022) and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Language and Literature from the University of Western Ontario (2015). Fortune has appeared before the BC Supreme Court and various provincial administrative tribunals, competed on a criminal law trial advocacy moot team and in the McIntyre Cup during law school, and worked at a summer legal clinic focused on poverty law and human rights. Before law school, Fortune worked in Whistler's hospitality industry.
