About J.
J. Vanessa Marshall began legal studies at Queen's University in 2002 before returning to British Columbia and completing her Bachelor of Laws at UBC in May 2005. She was called to the bar in February 2007 and began her career in criminal law before moving into a mixed criminal and civil practice, and now practices exclusively in civil litigation. She has appeared before the Residential Tenancy Board, the Human Rights Tribunal, the Provincial Court, the Supreme Court, and the BC Court of Appeal, and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Trial Lawyers' Association of British Columbia, and the Canadian Defence Lawyers.
