About Kathleen
Kathleen van der Ree is the managing partner of Coast Mountain Law, practising corporate commercial law and residential and commercial real estate. Van der Ree's practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring, and property transactions, with an approach described as practical and deal oriented. Van der Ree was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2007, holds an LL.B. from the University of Manitoba (2005), and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Simon Fraser University (2000). Before joining the firm, then known as Race & Company LLP, in Whistler, van der Ree worked in the Civil Litigation department at the BC Attorney General's office in Vancouver, and has also owned and operated small businesses independently and in partnership.
