About Katie
Katie McGurk is an associate who, since being called to the bar in 2021, has represented both plaintiffs and defendants across a range of civil litigation files, including employment matters, shareholder disputes, construction disputes, and property claims. She joined Glaholt Bowles LLP in 2023 after practising at a full-service Hamilton firm, and her practice is now focused exclusively on construction litigation. Katie's clients include owners, contractors, design professionals, and insurers, and she handles disputes over contract breaches, negligence claims, project delays, construction liens, breach of trust allegations, and deficiency claims, including work on several P3 rail infrastructure projects. She belongs to the Ontario Bar Association and Young Canadian Arbitration Practitioners. Katie earned her J.D. cum laude from the University of Ottawa in 2020 and a B.A. summa cum laude from McMaster University in 2017.
