About Charles
Charles Powell is a partner at Glaholt Bowles LLP who focuses on international and domestic construction arbitration, with much of his work involving large infrastructure projects such as refineries, pipelines, power plants, rail lines and mines. He has experience under ICC, UNCITRAL and ad hoc rules, representing owners, contractors, subcontractors, engineers and EPCM firms both in Canada and abroad, as well as surety companies defending bond claims and enforcing indemnity agreements. Charles is an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School and has guest lectured at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2009 and holds an LL.B. from the University of Reading.
