About Kathryn

Kathryn Panton is a family, pet custody, and collaborative lawyer, mediator, and legal coach at YLaw, serving clients in Langley, Chilliwack, and throughout British Columbia. Her practice emphasizes financial detail, including income determinations, asset valuations, and tax implications, and she has a record of success on chambers applications before the BC Supreme Court, including Enns v. Mitchell and N.E.G.B. v. T.A.S. In her first year of call she independently conducted a lengthy Supreme Court trial. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia-Okanagan and a Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan, and is an accredited Family Law Mediator with the Law Society of British Columbia and a trained collaborative lawyer. She serves on the board of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia and belongs to the Chilliwack and Abbotsford district bar associations.
