About Kathryn
Kathryn Quinlan earned a psychology degree from the University of Western Ontario before attending the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, graduating in 2009. She articled with an Edmonton criminal defence firm and later practised at Royal and Company, handling trial and appellate work at all levels of court up to the Supreme Court of Canada. She joined Dawson Criminal Defence in 2018 as an Associate Partner and was promoted to Senior Partner within her first year. Her practice includes sexual assault, drug trafficking, and homicide matters, and she acts as a resource for colleagues on cases involving psychiatric or psychological evidence. She also teaches Advanced Evidence at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law during winter terms and mentors law students.
