About Alexandra

Alexandra Seaman earned a B.A. in political science with a minor in history from the University of Calgary before graduating from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in 2012. She was called to the bar in 2013 and completed her articles and first year as an associate at another Edmonton criminal defence firm before joining Dawson Criminal Defence in 2015. She was promoted to Associate Partner in 2017 and Senior Partner in 2019. Her practice covers serious criminal matters including sexual assault, homicide, drug trafficking, and cases involving mental health defences and wiretap evidence. She received the Criminal Trial Lawyers Association's Top Gunn award in 2017 and teaches Advanced Evidence as a sessional instructor at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law. She sits on the boards of the Jasper Place Wellness Centre and Primrose Place Family Centre and established an identification clinic for inmates at the Edmonton Remand Centre.
