About Julian

Julian SpearChief-Morris is a member of the Blood Tribe, also known as the Kainai Nation, and previously captained the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns men's basketball team (2010-13). He specializes in Aboriginal and treaty rights, First Nation constitutions, laws and policy, and governance support, with work spanning commercial and corporate matters, natural resource agreements, and dispute resolution, and has represented First Nations, businesses, and individuals on both sides of the Canada-US border. He regularly advises on the development, implementation, and compliance of corporate governance frameworks, and has experience in commercial, rights-based, and criminal litigation. He holds a JD from Harvard Law School, a BA in urban and regional studies from the University of Lethbridge, and completed the Program of Legal Studies for Native People at the University of Saskatchewan. He is admitted to the District of Columbia Bar (2019), the Law Society of Alberta (2023), and the Law Societies of British Columbia and the Northwest Territories (both 2025).
