About Joshua

Joshua E. Bryson graduated from Cape Breton University in 1999 with dual undergraduate degrees in Business and Arts (Psychology), then earned his law degree from Dalhousie Law School in 2002. He articled with Chester Law, was called to the bar in 2003, and became a partner in 2007. His practice focuses on family law, criminal law, and civil litigation, and he has conducted hundreds of trials across Nova Scotia, including jury trials, appearing at all levels of court. For over twenty years he has served as an agent for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada and of Nova Scotia, handling numerous high-profile cases, including acting as lead counsel for a family in the Mass Casualty Inquiry into the Portapique shooting. Originally from Coxheath, Cape Breton, he now resides in Lunenburg County.
