About Thia

Thia Walters practises primarily in residential real estate and estate planning, regularly assisting first-time homebuyers and experienced property owners with buying, selling, mortgaging, and migrating land in Nova Scotia. She started at Patterson Law as a summer student in 2023 and has worked with the property group at the Halifax Quinn Street office since. Walters holds a degree in urban and regional planning from Toronto Metropolitan University and earned her J.D. with a Certificate in Business Law from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2025, where she received several academic awards including the Judge Fran Potts Award in Law and the Schulich Scholarship.
