About Jose
Jose Bento Rodrigues is the managing partner of Unified LLP and leads its family law group, serving clients from the firm's Toronto and Waterloo Region offices. His practice centers on family law litigation, though he generally views court as a last resort and favors negotiated, pragmatic settlements over lengthy proceedings. Before helping form Unified LLP, he was a partner at Rodrigues Paiva LLP, having begun his career at Justice Canada. During law school he served as editor-in-chief of the Ottawa Law Review and completed internships at the Tax Court of Canada, the Ontario Court of Justice, and the United Nations in New York City. He holds a JD from the University of Ottawa.
