About Johanna

Johanna Shapira is a partner at Wood Bull LLP focusing on land-use planning and municipal law. She prepares approval applications spanning official plan amendments, rezoning, subdivisions, severances, minor variances, and green energy projects, working with multi-disciplinary consultant teams and municipal staff, committees, and councils. Johanna regularly appears before the Ontario Land Tribunal, other administrative tribunals, and the Ontario Superior Court on review and appeal matters. Her earlier experience in civil and commercial litigation at another Toronto firm now supports the real estate and litigation work she provides clients. She has delivered lectures on land use approvals in Ontario and was called to the bar in 2004. Johanna holds a J.D. from the University of Toronto and a BA from McGill University.
