About Jessica

Jessica Hames is Associate Counsel at MacIsaac & Company, practising exclusively as a plaintiff-side litigator in civil sexual assault claims and appearing at all levels of court in British Columbia. She earned a BA in Communications with First Class Honours from Simon Fraser University and a JD from the University of Victoria, where she took part in the Law Co-op program and received multiple academic awards. Before law, she volunteered with a nonprofit supporting education for women and girls in Afghanistan, served as a Girl Guides troop leader, and held leadership roles including president of the Women in Law and Poverty Law clubs during law school, and she has also organized fundraising for women's transition houses. She works remotely from Vancouver, with regular trips to Victoria and the Cowichan Valley, serving survivors across the province.
