About Erik

Erik Y. Magraken is the Managing Partner of MacIsaac & Company, concentrating exclusively on plaintiff-side personal injury claims, particularly ICBC litigation involving orthopaedic injuries, complex soft-tissue injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and psychological injuries. He earned his LL.B. from the University of British Columbia in 2002. Beyond his legal practice, he is a licensed judge for combat sports in British Columbia, holding credentials with the BC Athletic Commission to oversee Muay Thai, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts competitions. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of British Columbia, and the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia. He also writes the BC Injury Law Blog, which has received recognition, and a separate Combat Sports Law Blog. He practises from the firm's Victoria, Duncan, and Courtenay offices.
