About Jerome

Jerome P. Bastien is a partner at Macera & Jarzyna LLP, practising patent drafting, prosecution, licensing and infringement opinions, with expertise in computer-related inventions, telecommunications and mechanical technologies. With over 10 years handling patent applications from Canada, the United States, Europe and elsewhere, he helps clients develop worldwide patent strategies, and also assists with trademark matters in Canada and other countries. Before joining the firm as an articling student in 2006, Jerome worked as a software developer and studied law at the University of Ottawa. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and an LL.B., and is a registered Canadian patent and trademark agent.
