Macera & Jarzyna LLP is a barristers and solicitors firm based in Ottawa, established in 1978 to focus on intellectual property litigation. It works alongside its sister company, Moffat & Co., a patent and trademark agency whose own roots go back to 1973, when British patent agent Maurice A. Moffat started the practice in Ottawa. Andy Jarzyna and John Macera later joined, and the business took the name Moffat & Co. in 1980. Between the two firms, clients get both sides of intellectual property work, litigation from Macera & Jarzyna and prosecution and agency services from Moffat & Co.

Macera & Jarzyna's docket has included key disputes such as Molson Breweries v. John Labatt Ltd. and UFCW Canada v. Wal-Mart Canada Corp., along with matters involving Kraft Canada and Toyota, and advocacy for retailers before the Copyright Board of Canada over levies on recording media. The firm handles patents, trademarks, copyright, industrial design, chip topographies, and plant breeders' rights, representing individual inventors as well as multinational corporations with interests in over 200 countries. Its office is at 11 Holland Avenue, a Class A building built in 1988, on the eastern edge of Ottawa's Wellington Village near the Tunney's Pasture transit station.
