About Rebecca

Rebecca Cynader is a tax lawyer and partner at Scion Law, advising individuals and privately held companies on personal and corporate tax planning, including corporate reorganizations, trust planning, and post-mortem tax planning. She helps clients navigate the Canadian tax system, structuring new and existing businesses and creating and reorganizing trusts. Rebecca completed her law degree at the University of Victoria, articled at a regional Vancouver law firm, and clerked at the Tax Court of Canada in Ottawa. Before joining Scion Law as a partner in 2022, she practised for several years as a tax lawyer at a large full-service downtown Vancouver firm. She is recognized in the 2024 edition of the Best Lawyers in Canada directory for her work in trusts and estates, has completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course, and is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation.
