About Brendan

At Thorsteinssons LLP, partner Brendan Forrest works out of the Toronto office, advising on corporate tax planning, international taxation, taxpayer representation, investment funds, and estate planning. He completed a Bachelor of Arts with honours at St. Michael's College, University of Toronto, before earning his Juris Doctor at the University of Manitoba's Robson Hall Faculty of Law in 2019, where he was named to the Dean's Honour List. During his studies he volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, wrote for the Desautels Review for Private Enterprise and the Law, and in 2017 completed the Asper International Program on Israeli Law & Society at Hebrew University of Jerusalem's Rothberg International School. He has since finished all three levels of CPA Canada's In-Depth Tax Program, belongs to the Law Society of Ontario and the Canadian Bar Association, and has published both academic and practitioner-focused writing on tax law.
